Successful Implementation of EDU-ACT Activities in Slovenia

We are pleased to announce the successful implementation of EDU-ACT project activities in Slovenia, marking another important step towards creating a safer, more inclusive, respectful, and equal sporting environment across Europe.

The activities provided an opportunity to put the knowledge, methodologies, and educational resources developed within the EDU-ACT project into practice. Through interactive workshops, sports activities, group work, and discussions, participants explored key topics addressed by the project and reflected on how each of us can contribute to positive change in sport.

Learning, cooperation and inclusion through sport

The activities focused on important topics such as inclusion, equality, respect, diversity, and the prevention of discrimination, racism, intolerance, and violence in sport.

Special attention was given to practical and experiential learning. Through different exercises and activities, participants were encouraged to recognise inappropriate and discriminatory behaviour, understand different perspectives, and explore the importance of respectful communication, cooperation, and mutual understanding.

Sport is much more than competition. It can also be a powerful environment for learning respect, responsibility, teamwork, empathy, and fair play.

From project results to practice

The implementation of EDU-ACT activities in Slovenia provided an important opportunity to apply the knowledge, methods, and educational materials developed within the project in real-life educational and sporting settings.

By connecting theoretical knowledge with practical activities, EDU-ACT aims to provide teachers, coaches, young people, and other participants with concrete tools that can help them create sporting environments where everyone feels safe, accepted, respected, and included.

The successful implementation of the activities and the positive engagement of participants demonstrate the importance of initiatives that use sport and education as tools for positive social change.

Together for more inclusive sport 💙

We would like to thank all the participants, teachers, coaches, organisations, and project partners who contributed to the successful implementation of EDU-ACT activities in Slovenia.

Every activity brings us one step closer to our shared goal: sport free from discrimination, violence, and intolerance, where equality, inclusion, respect, and fair play are at the heart of participation.

Together, we are demonstrating that sport can be a powerful tool for education, connection, empowerment, and positive social change. 🌍🤝✨
